The cool-looking hot hatch, which boasts 296bhp, can hit a top speed of 155mph and reach 60mph in just five seconds.

That awesome power comes from the 2.5T WRX STi Type Impreza specifically - which matches the stats from several sports car models.

That includes the classic Porsche 911 Turbo, as well as the German brand's 911 Carrera RS and the 911 Carrera CS 3.2.

That's not to mention their retro offerings of the 928, 924, 944 and 968.

A good condition 911 Turbo can cost up to £90,000 - with many models often going for even more than that.

But from a quick search on AutoTrader, we were able to sniff out an Impreza hatchhack for £8,890.

The grey hot hatch, complete with titanium gold alloy wheels, is an unmolested example and "drives as an STi should", according to the listing.

It comes with a sports quad exhaust system, front spoiler, side skirts and a rear boot spoiler.

It also has a full service history and is HPI clear.

Perhaps the only drawback is that it's hit nearly 100,000 miles since 2009.

This comes as Wheeler Dealers' host Mike Brewer urged drivers to seek out a recently discontinued hot hatchback that he claims will be a “future classic”.

And fans of fast Subarus will love this extra-special sportswagon Impreza - which has become the new daily driver for our friendly car expert James Russell.
