Katie Price relaxes poolside at £760-a-night hotel in Ayia Napa after dodging bankruptcy hearing due to ‘anxiety’

KATIE Price relaxes on holiday with her boyfriend — on the day she failed to turn up for a bankruptcy hearing claiming she had anxiety.
Katie and JJ Slater soaked up the sun in Cyprus on Friday, as a High Court judge warned she could be jailed for contempt.

And yesterday the former glamour model worked out in the gym and visited the spa at the five-star Adams Beach Hotel in Ayia Napa where deluxe suites can cost £760-a-night.
A British tourist spotted Katie, 45, and Married At First Sight’s JJ, 31, enjoying a meal on Friday night.
The source said: “I saw them checking in on Friday evening.
“We saw them later in the bar as they were sitting near us. They were having food and drinks and seemed incredibly relaxed.

“They seemed incredibly relaxed.
“There was a lady singing at the piano bar.
“When I realised Katie should have been at a bankruptcy hearing, I was shocked.”
Hours earlier, Judge Mark Mullen, sitting in London, was told Katie’s assistant had sent an email on Thursday stating the model and TV personality could not attend court because of anxiety and depression.

Judge Mullen said a medical letter with the email did not give enough detail about Katie’s health issues.
He said: “There is a consistent pattern here of last-minute adjournments being sought on the basis of quite scant medical evidence.”

The judge ruled she must turn up at the next hearing on May 3, or send more detailed proof of why she could not attend.
Otherwise a warrant will be issued for her arrest.
Katie was first declared bankrupt in November 2019, with debts of £3.2million.

Last month she was declared bankrupt again, owing the taxman £760,000.
After her Friday no-show, ex-husband Alex Reid, who she owes £250,000, said: “People will be asking, ‘How does she get away with it?’”
Katie’s agent did not comment.
