HOLIDAY Brits insist on taking teabags abroad — but nearly as many refuse to travel without their slippers, a poll shows.
Nearly half slip their favourite brew in the luggage but familiar footwear for foreign bedrooms is a must for more than a third.
And it is not the only creature comfort which finds its way into the suitcase — many pack their own pillow, a loaf of bread or even tins of beans or soup.
Some seem to squeeze in the contents of their kitchen cupboards, including cutlery, mugs, utensils and even their pots and pans.
And a few holidaymakers cannot leave home without their childhood teddy, according to the survey for M&S travel insurance.
Teabags, coffee and biscuits top the must-pack list, with a fifth also taking a travel kettle just to be sure they can brew up.
