Bradley Wells

Bradley Wells joins the StormTracker 59 and 59News team from Huntington, West Virginia. As a New Jersey native and adopted West Virginian, Bradley graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelors degree in Broadcast Meteorology from Marshall University.

Bradley has had a passion for all things weather from an early age thanks to a very dedicated 5th grade science teacher. Since then, he’s taken his passion and love of the field to help make his community safer with the hope of inspiring the next generation of weather enthusiasts.

While at Marshall University, Bradley worked with his geography department and the National Weather Service to bring Skywarn storm spotter classes to the Huntington campus, with the goals of helping his community become weather aware and assisting the National Weather Service in recruiting local involvement during severe weather events. He served as a storm spotter and storm chaser for western West Virginia throughout his college career helping his community when severe weather hit.  In addition, Bradley worked with the NewsCenter 88 team on WMUL 88.1 FM, Marshall University college radio news program, as both a student meteorologist, reporter, and fill-in news anchor.

In his free time, Bradley loves exploring the many national and state parks West Virginia has to offer looking for the best fishing and camping spots with his two- and four-legged family members. Father to his pride and joy and loving partner to his grade-school sweetheart, getting out and creating one-of-a-kind experiences with them is a day off well spent.  Bradley also has a love of photography, crafting, and bowling. And don’t be surprised if you bump into him on the area’s many ski slopes in the winter.

You can catch Bradley on the StormTracker 59 weather desk Saturday and Sunday at 5 ,6, 10, and 11pm.  If you’d like to share your West Virginia weather moments with him or to simply say “hi”, send him an email at bwells@wvnstv.com.                                                              .
