Horror as ‘human organs’ found inside container at park as police launch urgent forensics probe
COPS have launched an urgent probe after "human organs" were found inside a container at a Greater London park.
The grim discovery was made by a member of the public who found the container in Rosehill Park, Sutton, south London, at around 4:30pm on Wednesday.
A police presence remains in place within the cordoned off area as investigations continue.
The contents of the container will be forensically examined to determine whether they are human remains, or belong to an animal.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 4.30pm on Wednesday, July 24 by a member of the public who reported finding a container in Rosehill Park, Sutton containing what was described as human or animal organs inside.
“The container has been secured by police and the contents will be forensically examined.

It comes after "human remains" were found on the banks of a river.
The grim discovery was made just after 10am on Wednesday by the River Wear, Sunderland.
A force spokesperson said: “At around 10.05am today, we received a report of suspected human remains having been discovered on the riverbank near to Wear Street in South Hylton.
