One hailed: "He’s got that Aura back."

Joshua, 34, gets a shot at becoming a three-time champion after Dubois, 26, was elevated from the interim IBF title to the full version.

That is because Oleksandr Usyk, 37, vacated it to proceed with his planned December 21 rematch with Tyson Fury, 35, after his May win.

Dubois' promoter Frank Warren revealed the winner of September's all-British bout puts them in line for either Usyk or Fury.

"That's what the position is. It's pure business as far as he's concerned. If it was about holding on to the belts, then he wouldn't have relinquished.

"He's in it for the money and obviously the rematch is a massive, massive fight, which everyone wants to see. It was such a closely fight last time, it's a bigger fight now in December.

"Whatever happens, the winner of this fight on September 21, which will be Daniel, will fight the winner of that fight, and the four belts will be back on the line again."
