She also applies niacinamide, which can improve skin evenness, twice a day.
The skincare aficionado adds vitamin C in the mornings and a gentle alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) two nights per week, and she also swaps out the AHA for a gentle retinol sometimes.
THE VAMPIRE METHOD
But even with all of those products, she attributes much of her fortune in aging to an approach inspired by a mythical creature of the night.
She emphasized the importance of patience when reversing sun damage and other skin concerns.
"It takes a long time too," she said. "I'm talking about months and sometimes years, but just be diligent.
"My sister has sun damage from years of tanning beds and basking in the sun."
'It can truly turn back the clock,' 60-year-old Amazon shopper raves about 'fountain of youth' anti-aging cream
She said she did the opposite, adding that she was "hiding from the sun like a vampire."
The Redditor added that although they are close in age, the proof is in the pudding.
"The difference in our skin is very apparent and we're in our mid-40s," she said.

Why does our skin wrinkle as we age?
Dr. Michael Aziz, an internist and the author of the upcoming book The Ageless Revolution, revealed five habits of young-looking people.
"As we age, we lose collagen, and elastin fibers break down," Dr. Aziz told The U.S. Sun.
"Additionally, fat under the skin diminishes in our thirties, reducing its support.
"Consequently, wrinkles appear as what was once smooth and plump becomes loose and wrinkled.
"However, there are solutions available to build collagen, such as new devices, microneedling, and ultrasound devices at your local dermatologist.
"Cosmetic procedures like fat transfer are also becoming popular among plastic surgeons."
"She has since improved her skin but not without a heavy cost," she said.
"Laser, micro-needling, IPL, peels, et cetera, and it took her years to get her skin to where it is now. It's not 100% reversed, but [it's] much better."
Another Redditor chimed in on using more abrasive skincare.
"People are saying to do one product at a time, but also wanted to add, from personal experience, also take it slow with vitamin C and any retinols," they said.
