Winter is here and in full swing, here are some cold weather hacks that will get you through the rest of winter.

If you want to save extra time in the cold winter mornings, rather than trying to unthaw a frozen windshield wiper, place a knee high sock over your windshield wiper the night before frost is expected in the forecast. That way the next morning, while your car is warming up, you won’t have to worry about scraping off your wipers.

You can also do the same thing with your side view mirrors to prevent that frost from building up. Just place a plastic grocery bag around you mirror and secure it with a clothes pin.

Cracked hands and dry skin are always a problem in the winter. Try using chapped stick on your hands and fingers instead of lotion as a moisturizer.

If you are looking for something else to try, honey works as a great natural remedy moisturizer. Rub honey on your hands just like you would lotion, and wash it off afterwards as it is a bit sticky. Your hands will smell great and will be super soft!
