THIS is the first picture of stabbed Army officer Mark Teeton — alongside his wife who dashed to save him.
Lieutenant Colonel Teeton, 47, cuddles wife Eileen and, in another shot, smiles in military camouflage and beret.
She fought with his attacker, while her piercing cries for help were captured on a neighbour’s doorbell camera.
Yesterday a friend said: “Eileen is a lovely lady and was in the military wives’ choir. She always pops into the community centre.
“As soon as I heard the wife jumped in to save her husband I immediately thought of her — she’s the one who came to mind.”
Royal Engineer Lt Col Teeton, who joined the Army 24 years ago, was repeatedly stabbed near Brompton Barracks in Gillingham, Kent, on Tuesday evening.

The dad of two, a course manager at the Royal School of Military Engineering, was in a serious but stable condition in hospital yesterday.
His alleged attacker, Anthony Esan, 24, was yesterday remanded in custody charged with attempted murder.
Burly Esan, wearing a grey T-shirt and trousers, appeared in handcuffs and flanked by three officers at Medway magistrates’ court.
He twice responded “Why?” when asked to confirm his personal details before eventually doing so. Esan, also accused of possessing an offensive weapon in public, will appear at Maidstone crown court next month.
