FROM 1980 to 2008, the Bethel Boys Academy (later renamed the Eagle Point Christian Academy) operated ostensibly as a reform school for troubled youths in the small, isolated town of Lucedale, Mississippi. The school was founded by Reverend Herman Fountain and billed itself as a faith-based place of learning engineered to help wayward teens get their lives back on track.
