MEGHAN Markle "doesn't seem to care" about her dad - and acted "astonishingly" after his stroke, claimed a royal expert.

Royal biographer Tom Bower made shocking claims the Duchess of Sussex has "moved on" and doesn't seem to give "two hoots... whether he's frankly alive or dead".

The commentator, who is famous for his harsh criticism of the Sussexes, sat down with Sun Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson on the Royal Exclusive Show.

He shared startling allegations about Meghan, 42, and her father Thomas Markle, 79.

"I feel intensely sorry for him, he's a very decent man, very hard-working, he was a wonderful father," said Mr Bower.

"Meghan owes him such a lot and she's treated him appallingly. She's treated him in a way which is just totally unwarranted.

"And, there he is, sitting in a rather shabby cabin in New Mexico and he doesn't deserve what she's ladled out."

Mr Bower also claimed "no one came to help" Thomas after he was "besieged" by journalists.

"Even when he had his heart attack and wasn't able to get to the wedding no one was there to help him," claimed the royal expert.

"I think the Palace behaved appallingly towards him, abandoned him, very much I think because Harry and Meghan themselves just thought he was someone who could be ignored," he continued.

"That was a great tragedy for him. And I think also for the Royal Family."

'ASTONISHING'

In particularly stinging comments, even for a long-standing critic of the couple, Mr Bower alleged the duke and Duchess "don't seem to care" whether Thomas is "alive or dead".

Harry and Meghan have lost their charm in America says Lee Cohen

"It's too late, the Sussexes have moved on, they don't seen to give two hoots rather he's frankly alive or dead anymore and probably they would prefer him to disappear," he claimed.

The expert, who harshly attacked the duke and duchess in his book Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors, also claimed humanitarian work carried out by the pair, "is really just puff for themselves".

Harry is globally recognised for his incredible work through the Invictus Games - for which he was honoured with the Pat Tillman Award for Service this month.

Meanwhile, Meghan has also collected the Ms Foundation Women of Vision Award for her efforts in fighting for equality.

Nevertheless, Mr Bower claimed: "They have no compassion for a man who deserves it and unfortunately is going to get worse as he gets older, and sicker.

"That was the most astonishing thing, when he had his stroke, Meghan left her home in Montecito but didn't go down to Mexico to see her father, but went to the site of a school shooting instead.

I watched Prince Harry grow up – I know why he won’t EVER return to royal life

A ROYAL expert who watched Prince Harry grow up says she knows why he won't ever to return to royal life.

Harry has lived in California with his wife Meghan since they dramatically quit their jobs as working royals in 2020.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said Harry would be a "great asset" for the palace.

But she said California-based Harry now has the "domestic bliss" he lacked as a child.

Appearing on today's episode of The Sun's Royal Exclusive show, Bond said: "I can't see Harry returning, really.

"And yes - I do miss him. Harry was the most popular royal a couple of years ago, wasn't he?

"Having watched him grow up and knowing him just a little bit, he was a wonderful little boy and a charming, jovial adolescent.

"At least that's what we saw. He was brilliant for the royal family, he did bring a natural common touch and relatability.

"They would have been a great asset had he stayed but I don't think he will return.

"If I did pray I would pray that he has a happy life now with all that he wanted.

"The freedom he craved, the wife he loves and the children he adores.

"The model of domestic bliss that he didn't have in his own adolescence.

"I wish him all the best."

"It was just all of course for the cameras."

It comes after the same royal expert also shockingly claimed Meghan is an "agent of poison".

Thomas has been estranged from his daughter since suffering two heart attacks on the eve of her wedding to Harry.

The 80-year-old was unable to walk her down the aisle, and they've not been in contact since.

Further turmoil between the pair erupted after Thomas posed for paparazzi pictures ahead of Harry and Meghan tying the knot.

However, Meghan has previously shared the hurt and "betrayal she felt" by her father.

She opened up about her relationship with her estranged dad and said she was left feeling crushed when he lied to her about not talking to the media.

In her sensational interview with Oprah in 2021, Meghan said: "I’m trying to decide if I'm comfortable even talking about that.

“It was... if we were going to use the word betrayal.”

“Because when I asked him, when we were told by the comms team, this is a story that was going to be coming out, which, by the way, the tabloids had apparently known for a month or so and decided to hold until the Sunday before our wedding because they wanted to create drama, which is also a really key point in all this.

“We called my dad and I asked him and he said, no, absolutely not.

“I said, you know, the institution has never intervened for anything for us, but they can try to go in and kill this story.

“But if they do this once, we're not going to be able to use that same leverage to protect our own kids one day.”

Oprah then said: “He said no, absolutely not. He hadn't been talking to them. So he basically lied to you.”

Meghan added: “Well, and so when I said we won't be able to protect our own kids one day and I said, so I just need you to tell me.

“And if you tell me the truth, we can help. And he wasn't able to do that. And that for me has really resonated, especially now as a mother.

"And also me saying just full stop, if we use this to protect you, (we) won't be able to protect our own children one day.

“I'm talking about your grandchildren.

“I look at Archie. I think about this child and I genuinely can't imagine doing anything to intentionally cause pain to my child.

“I can't imagine it. So it's hard for me to reconcile that.”
