However, Connor sought comfort in food to cope with the trauma of his accident - gaining seven stone across nine months after the incident.

Adamant on turning his life around, Connor began making changes to his diet and frequenting the gym, which led to the incredible transformation in his appearance.

Now, Connor is intent on sharing his story as an "ex fat boy" to his 15,000 TikTok followers, in a bid to help others struggling with their weight.

Documenting his fitness journey has even garnered Connor a newfound wave of interest from women online - which the 23-year-old confessed to finding bewildering.

Connor said: "Before the crash I was just a normal guy with a nine-to-five job.

"I was always a bigger guy but not as overweight as I became after the crash.

"I remember the impact. It was excruciating. I don't think I'll ever be in worse pain in my life.

"I was given a two per cent chance of survival, so I obviously said goodbye to my parents and sister. I was in hospital for well over a month.

"Then slowly I started regaining my walking ability and wasn't in imminent danger of needing emergency surgery any more.

"Then the night I was discharged and came home, I got sepsis and spent another three weeks in hospital. Physically I started slowly improving.

"I was on a lot of pain relief and it was sending me wild. When you're poorly, you never want to sit there and eat healthy food.

"And I did that for six months - eating rubbish upon rubbish. I was eating to try and deal with what had happened.

"I was in the worst way and just getting fatter and fatter. I got to summer 2022 and I hated what I looked like.

"I'd never been to the gym before - I couldn't stand it but I started going to the gym and for walks."

'SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE'

After gaining more than seven stone following the accident, Connor began training in the gym six times a week and eating a protein-heavy diet.

The personal trainer soon found his groove at the gym - losing almost seven stone, which inspired him to begin helping others online.

Connor said: "I just fell in love with fitness and going to the gym.

"When I started to see a difference, I just got more and more motivated. It really took off from there.

"I started getting more and more confident. I started posting videos online and realised I could help other people too.

"I definitely noticed a difference in how people treated me when I lost weight.

"In the last six months, I've noticed more attention from girls and in the comments on TikTok. It's a bit strange and I was taken aback by it.

"I've got a bit of a following online and just want to keep growing this.

"Not many fitness instructors do it from a perspective where they've lost weight themselves. I know first-hand what does and doesn't work.

"It still doesn't feel real what I've been through."

Connor's diet before and after weight loss

ASIDE from ramping up his fitness routine, Connor clamped down on the unhealthy eating habits he fell into after his accident.

Before his weight loss, Connor's diet consisted of:

  • Breakfast - Bacon sandwiches or a full fry-up
  • Lunch - Burgers or pizza
  • Dinner - Pizza, fried chicken

To aid his weight loss journey, Connor instead turned to@

  • Breakfast - Turkey bacon, omelette
  • Lunch - Chicken and rice
  • Dinner - Fish with potatoes, chicken, steak, turkey

Connor shared some advice for other people starting out on their own fitness journeys.

"I'd say to other people that you can't give up. You've just got to get up and do it," he said.

"Don't care what the next person thinks. I feel like I was given a second chance at life and don't want to waste it."

Social media users have flocked to the comment section to praise Connor on his transformation.

One woman said: "Hot...I mean well done", while another said: "He is banging."

A third added: "What a transformation well done! Any girl would be lucky to have you."
